Mission & Vision

At Ready To Grow Family Childcare, we provide a safe and happy place for children where they can learn to grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially at their own pace while partnering with parents to provide a meaningful early learning experience. Our play-based learning approach provides children with opportunities to engage in activities of their choice. We teach children to think creatively so they can succeed in a complex and ever-changing world. Purposeful play is developmentally appropriate and a significant element of any quality program.

Play-based Philosophy

Play is a way of learning for children.  During a typical day, there will be structured and unstructured periods, enabling children to learn at their own pace.  Values that support learning through play include:

  • Allowing children to be viewed as thinkers, reflecting about their world
  • Providing purposeful play and allowing children to learn through the process of their efforts
  • Allowing children to gain knowledge by building on their experiences
  • Encouraging children to make choices while practicing individual decision making
 
Children are allowed to do what they do best, PLAY. Learning through play builds confidence, creativity and a love for school while learning in an age-appropriate way.

Our monthly curriculum themes allow for a meaningful experience that enhances these areas of play and fosters their growth and learning.
